What is Medical Weight Loss?
Medical Weight Loss at TVI MedSpa is a program that focuses on changing habits that serve as a barrier to achieving desired results. The program includes coaching, accountability, personalized program, and medical prescription, if needed to keep our clients on track.
How does it work?
The process begins with a thorough consultation and medical evaluation that includes a review of client’s medical history and lab results. The assessment includes a review of the patient’s sleep cycle, adrenal function, exercise schedule, hormone levels, eating habits, and nutritional profile. The weight loss program is individually designed and supervised so our clients have the support and knowledge to reach their weight loss goals. When required, we will also include prescription medications that are FDA approved to assist with appetite suppression. Weight loss medications are prescribed for people with a BMI (body mass index) of 30 or higher, which signifies obesity.
What are the benefits of Medical Weight Loss?
When will I see results?
Everyone is different, so results vary and depend on each individual. The average patient can lose 3% of their body weight after 3 months and 7% of their body weight after 6 months on the program. With increased exercise and healthy eating changes, patient results averages can be increased to 5% after 3 months and 10% of total body weight after 6 months on the program.
